Roses & Strawberries, 2020 was created during a sudden summer storm. These pink roses and the strawberries are from a climbing rose bush in my garden. The white feather is from a swan. The sky was turning blue, then ochre, then charcoal grey. Every frame of this image is a different colour. This capture shows the dark blue cast of the sky when the shutter was pressed. The moment is un-repeatable and specific to that instant. As I reflect on the time when I made this image, I know that nothing of that moment is the same and everything we see in the image is now gone, compost for the next season of roses. There is beauty in the fleeting nature of time.
