Dogwood & Daffodil
With the dark background and the only artwork in my collection with a dramatic curtain as part of the background, the blown-open Brown Sugar and China Girl tulips and daffodils of this piece is not afraid of drama. The robin’s eggs are on loan from the egg cabinet at the Royal Ontario Museum, collected before there were laws about taking eggs from songbird nests, and rest in a found robins nets. This work embodies the explosion of life that happens in the spring.
Perfect paired with Dahlia & Sphynx Moth
